The sacked Metro FM DJ landed a job as a presenter of the channel's new business show Kicking Doors With Sbu Leope, which airs on Tuesdays between 8:30 and 9pm. His energy drink Mofaya and charity organisation the DJ Sbu Foundation will get a special advertising space and rates in the influential magazine. Leope will also contribute editorial pieces to the magazine on his Leadership 2020 programme, which conducts seminars and workshops across the country to promote education, entrepreneurship and leadership among
young South Africans. Sid Wahi, CNBC Africa and Forbes Africa magazine vice-president confirmed the marriage.

"The show's business content, which teaches the masses about entrepreneurship, will expose the channel to the masses of this country. After the first show we got Tweeter responses of about 73.5 million and 69.4 million came from his (Leope's) account. "We are excited about this partnership because he has an incredible mass following as he is a radio and club disc jockey, a television personality and a businessman," he said. Wahi also confirmed Leope's foundation and the energy drink would be published in the next issue of their magazine in September. "I want to keep the content of the deal private but they will be in our next issue as sponsored content.

But this will be subjected to our internal quality control measures and if we don't agree with the content he supplies, we won't publish them," he said. Leope said he was excited as the show will also expose his talent to the entire African continent. Leope said: "The deal will see my Leadership 2020 monthly editorial contribution to the magazine and advertising space for all three of my organisations on Forbes Africa magazine to a certain undisclosed value for 12 months.

"There will be a revenue split model on any sponsorship acquired by either party for the show, which premiered last Tuesday. "The show will expose my talent to the African market, no longer just locally but the continent at large. "Being a well-known social entrepreneur myself I have no doubt that I have every entrepreneur's best interests at heart and will deliver a cutting edge, sharp, innovative and informative show."
