President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour also known as Obour has disclosed that he will return to active music in October.
Obour says he will make a return to music if he wins the mandate again as president of the musicians union at this year's election slated for October 29.
Obour took a break from music after he emerged winner at the 2011 MUSIGA elections to concentrate on the union’s work.
He said,
"I tried to record sometime but I've not been able to record because I gave myself a four year break but, should I be elected again as MUSIGA president, this next term will be a music filled term, I would release songs".
The musician made the revelations in an interview with Hitz News at the launch of ‘Musicians time With God’ under the theme,
“Power in his presence, place of music in evangelism.”
The event is being organized for all music industry players and music lovers to connect with God.
According to Obour, "we want the power of God to be there, because the music industry is God's ministry and many people are losing sight of it so we created this platform for the music industry to connect to God.”
The idea he said, was born two years ago but they were unable to accomplish it because of the cost involved in their choice of location.
“We wanted to have this event last year at the Independence Square but costing and budgeting was taking us close to a million Ghana cedis to organise this event so the committee decided that we adjust our budget for a limited cost.”
The event is scheduled to take place at Winners Chapel International on October 1 and October 2.
