Controversial musician Wanlov The Kubolor has expressed his interest in becoming a judge in Ghana.
The musician believes that, in the wake of the huge scandal that has rocked the country’s judiciary, there are likely to be many vacancies in the courts.
Anas Aremeyaw Anas premiered his latest investigative piece on corruption in the country’s judiciary at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on September 22 and 23.
Thousand of Ghanaians trooped to the AICC to the documentary that has grabbed national attention and generated huge public debate, which shows judges and magistrates allegedly collecting bribes to subvert justice.
With reports that some judges may be impeached if found guilty, Wanlov believes that there will a lot of vacancy for him to apply to be a judge.
He told JoyNews in an interview that “I’m thinking of taking up court duty to be a judge. There is a lot of vacancy at the courts right now.”
The decision, the controversial musician added, is based on “Some pornographic film that just came out…its directed by Anas.”
